Seniors Day Trips
Leaving Campbelltown and then on to Henley Beach before the long ride to “Our Place”.
The vehicle was a buzz with Conversation about the “birthday boy’s” present haul. After a while the conversation drifted toward the show and lunch they were attending as part of The Adelaide Fringe 2015.
After a long lunch and comedic show everyone emerged from the event smiling and commenting favourably about the food, the venue and the show. So having had very pleased clients on-board we must give thanks to Andy and the crew for a great day out at Our Place @ Willunga Hill
Saturday 30th August, 2014 – with Adelaide Mini Bus
Troy and his friends celebrating a birthday at Delta Force Paintball Park. What a great way to spend the day, looks like a lot of fun.
Sunday 17th August 2014 at the Barossa Gourmet weekend proved a very busy weekend for Adelaide Mini Buses. Some of our happy customers, Zoe and friends at Pindarie Winery.
These lovely ladies pictured at Pindarie one of the great venues the Barossa had to offer.
Our driver Sue said they had a great day, and hopes to see them back next year.
Adelaide Minibus’s sister business is Vin’s Buses.
Vin’s has grown from just a few minibuses a few years ago, to that of a significant South Aussie business, serving the community with a fleet of 30 vehicles, including large coaches. “Whilst seniors and retiree day tours have been a core part of our charter activity, we can now do it better and more professionally says managing director Vin Pistola.
Over 20 new day tour itineraries have been developed and costed, so that seniors clubs, retirement villages, respite groups and PROBUS clubs, can receive a range of them to choose from. It just takes a phone call or e-mail to gain a copy of the brochure and a summary sheet of all of the day tours. “Each have been carefully planned so the day is relaxing , fun and often educational said Vin. Tours can range from a visit to the fabulous Monarto Zoo, to Victor Harbour & the Coorong, through to a day at Gawler and the Barossa Valley. They also include trips to Mintaro/Clare and Banrock Station on the Murray. Then Vins offers a day of entertainment by The Pryers at Mt Compass, a day in the hills including some time at the National Motor Museum, and a day at Old Tailem Town. Others might choose to take a Dolphin Cruise from Port Adelaide, with a stopover at Fort Glanville, or see glassblowing by the amazing Eamonn Vereker, this combined with a visit to Vadoulis Garden Centre at Gawler.
“Our day tours are modest in cost, and deliver great value with most lunch options including both a budget and a higher level menu” he added. Importantly, the Vins day tours are transparently priced, with the customer groups able to access the supplementary tours, such as boat cruises, and lunches, at coach company rates, payable direct to the providers.
Your group gets to enjoy a free morning tea when it can be packed, all part of the great value of Vin’s day tours.
Vin’s tour leader/drivers are specially trained in this type of work. They have a good understanding of the needs of the infirm, and we go to great lengths to ensure all have a great day out. “We have a real empathy for senior’s clubs and understand the needs of the older age groups ” said Vin.

Getting to Morgan for their Murray River holiday on a houseboat could have meant a boring highway run and having to leave their rental car for several days. Instead, the Robinson group and their international friends contacted Adelaide Minibus and chartered a vehicle and driver for the day, ending at their Morgan boarding dock.
They drove through the Adelaide Hills, saw some kangaroos near the Chain of Ponds reservoir and visited the Whispering Wall of Williamstown. On the way they did some shopping for groceries and some summer clothing, given the very warm autumn we were experiencing.
- Planning itinerary and booking ease
- Being on time
- Standard of vehicle
- Driver courtesy and knowledge
- and they ticked ‘OUTSTANDING’ for overall value for money
The team at Vin’s and Adelaide Minibus constantly receive great feedback such as this…it makes our day!!
Keith and Pat are determined to enjoy their retirement. They are part of a seniors social group from a Retirement Village at Gawler who enjoy day trips and outings. Just recently they organised with Adelaide Minibus to combine a produce market stopover with some touring, and Goolwa was their choice of destination. Pat said that last year she organised a trip to the hills markets through Adelaide Minibus, and since then several residents had asked her to see if they could do another.
They stopped off at McLaren Vale where we enjoyed the morning tea provided as part of their package. Then on to Goolwa where they bought up some fresh goodies before lunch at the Corio Hotel. After lunch they visited Hindmarsh Island and the Goolwa Barrage, the wonderful day capped off with a stop at the Currency Creek Winery.
Pat and Keith said that once again, the driver and tour leader Rick, was excellent, and was especially patient, ensuring the older members were comfortable and boarded/disembarked with the care. They wanted to show their special appreciation of the way Rick took care of the wheelchair confined resident. “In all, a top day” they said, “and we will be sure to use Adelaide Minibus again soon”
A fantastic time to visit the Barossa Valley is during its Vintage Festival, which runs from 3oth March to 6th April. And a must is to be alongside the main road between Nuriootpa and Tanunda to see the parade of floats, which takes about 1.5 hours to pass. So get your group organised, get a picnic basket together or book lunch at one of the Barossa’s fabulous eating places and make it a memorable event.
Book a superb Toyota or Mitsubishi minibus (13 to 24 seat) with driver for the day and we will take you to wherever you want to go. Charters only (you make bookings and arrangements with wineries) for Sat 6th….noting that the wineries and dining venues will be extremely busy.
