Una bella giornata sulle colline di Adelaide

It was cold and sometimes wet but David and his friends seemed to enjoy themselves. After loading “ALL” their eskys it was a quick trip to Bird in Hand winery for a taste and morning tea. From there we popped across the way to Nepenthe and more tasting and eating a photo taking were in order(still trying to work out whether my “selfie” worked or not). Someone then decided to drive across to Hahndorf with everyone in tow(it’s a driver thing!). After a long lunch the group headed to Pike and Joyce for some more coffee and cake, oh and some wine tasting too! Then it was time to wander home and work on the night!

Thanks to David and his group for choosing Adelaide Mini Bus for their day and for being so well behaved(I was paid to type that!!).

Up the hills and down to cellar doors . . . .

Well it was a great day in the Adelaide Hills wine region! Julie and her friends chose Adelaide Mini Bus for their transport provider on the day in The Adelaide Hills. First stop was Nepenthe Wines. After lengthy visit with the cellar door team it was off to Shaw and Smith. A restful visit lead to a quick trip into The Hahndorf Inn for lunch. Following a delicious lunch it was off to Bird in Hand for a relaxing final visit before the long trip home through chaotic peak hour traffic.

Fabulous hen’s day for Kate

Kate is getting married soon, so her friend and bridesmaid Lauren, organised a Adelaide Minibus tour in the Barossa for Kate’s friends, family and bridesmaids. What an afternoon it was, taking in the fabulous hills area of Birdwood,  Te-Aro Wines at Williamstown, Maggie Beers and then a leisurely coffee, cake and wine tasting at Kabminye Wines.

Adelaide Minibus ‘dressed’ the vehicle appropriately, with some ‘Hens day in progess’ banners and supplied chilled spring water for the group.

The venues visited complimented the group on how “well behaved” they were and the wineries were pleasantly surprised at the number of bottles purchased at their cellar doors. Some cellar doors don’t like hens group bookings beacuse of the rowdy behaviour, but we educate our groups well, said Adelaide Minibus’s tour organisor, Caroline. “Promoting the purchase of some wines at cellar doors we visit,  has been a successful way of keeping good relations with the cellar doors for hens day outings too. Many cellar doors are now charging tasting fees, and only through wine sales can they minimise this. We need to remember that the venues are paying weekend wage rates for their staff, and whilst tastings are a part of  promoting their brands, they can only survive, and continue to provide their cellar door experience, if sales of wine covers their costs”

Take a wine region or sightseeing tour whilst in Adelaide

When visiting adelaide for the Clipsal or Fringe Festival, you might want to experience the many other delights our state has to offer.

Within an hour of our city are the wine regions of the Barossa Valley, the Adelaide Hills wine region, McLaren Vale region and the less busy but delightful Langhorne Creek  region. Add a half hour and you can see the Clare Valley region.

The most fun and best economy is gained when you organise a group of your friends and book a GOLD, SILVER or CHARTER tour with us. We can even arrange for wines you may have purchased at the cellar doors, to be shipped to interstate addresses, easily and economically.

Our GOLD tours are for true wine and wine region appreciators, only in groups of 12 or less.  We make the bookings for you after consulting with you as to your preferences, andyour group is likely to be small enough to be catered for by the small cellar doors. See our website www.adelaideminibus.com.au  and the Wine Tours section for the large number of wineries and cellar doors you might wish to choose. You get to choose the lunch location too, and your driver/tour leader for the day is experienced in and knowledgable about the region and what it has to offer. You can even request that our in-house vigneron/winemaker be your tour leader for the day.

Our SILVER tours for up to 24 people are very popular  in that we get to take you to our selection of cellar doors and a great lunch venue…and we make the bookings. Easy and great value, with a low likelihood of tasting fees being charged by the cellar doors we visit in the Barossa and Mclaren Vale regions.

Our CHARTER option allows you to manage the day in every way, with buses available from 13 seat to 50 seat coaches. You choose where you want to go and make the bookings, and you can use our experience and expertise in terms of the timing and distances between stopovers. We can also provide aq list of the wineries/cellar doors and their opening times and any fees applicable.
